Well I'm not sure what is it's for this festival but I know well that we have Rice dumpling .. Even now in Sg u can buy it as n when you like but the tradition Of making rice dumpling is getting lesser and lesser . well my mum wrap it every year . its really a hassle to do so but she still insist of doing it . More filling bigger mushroom and whole egg yoke .. woah !!! i believe it's all Chinese ppl culture .. To do so when the festival is near .

Hokkien style Ba Zhang it's w pork belly ,mushroom , salted egg yoke and chestnuts .
Sometime my mum will put in kidney beans ..
This year also have dried shrimps fried w sambal . He bee hiam favor ..
O man ... Fantastic .
